Currently, all of Camstreams is off line. At this point, we do not know the reason or how soon service will be restored.
Everyone please be patient and check in here for any information that we receive!

Camstreams is temporarily offline
7th June 2008. Updated 2:26am UK Time
Camstreams is temporarily down following a power outage. The outage has apparently wiped out our current and backed-up local database through a disk based error which occured when the power failure happened. We are restoring a copy of the database from around 4 weeks ago as a last resort and are still trying our hardest to restore data from the corrupted files on the database server.
Apologies again for this break in service but rest assured we are doing all we can at this time.
This is wot is comin up at the mo when I try to get into SWISLIVE.
I'm hopin that they will sort it

We are restoring a copy of the database from around 5 weeks ago as a last resort. Service should resume soon. If you signed up after 29th April, you will need to sign up again.
This is clearly a catasrophic event and superseeds last summer's problems in which fewer problems happened but we still had to roll back 4 weeks. The latest backup was due to be taken tonight and it's just Murphy's Law that the problem occured hours before it did.
Apologies again for this break in service but rest assured we are doing all we can at this time. Once the service is resumed, a notice will be placed on the site to remind those to sign up again.
We will be again looking hard at our database management to ensure there are more recent backups available should something as disatrous as this occur again. It hurts us as much as you when things like this go so wrong.
Please be patient. The ETA for the site to come back on with old data is around 1-2 hours from now.
