Forum:
I'll start the newsletter this week with some news about our new SWISLIVE forum. We have created an area that everyone that registers can share their opinion, leave comments, view the daily numbers and even share your photos. MySpace:
We have created a new MySpace for all our SwisLive friends. The response has been good, I believe we are up to 60 friends in such a short time. If you have a MySpace and are interested in becoming a SwisLive friend, just follow the link and send a friend request. http://www.myspace.com/swislive
T Shirts:
The shirts are still in the works. We are waiting for the artwork to be finished on the rear, the fron is done. We are planning to have several color choices available. I will let everyone know when they are ready to be ordered.
SwisLive Stats:
The numbers for Swislive have been outstanding lately! We are consistently the number 2 truck cam on Camstreams. Figured averages show us with an average of over 800 stream starts every day for the month of April. We are 10 days away from our 4 month anniversary of transmitting on camstreams and we have had 67,893 hits since our start on January 13 2008.
Safe Place:
With these numbers, there has been a lot of unwanted activity in our chat room. The bad people abound! we are working diligently to try and kick these people as fast as we see something is wrong. Rest assured that we are watching and waiting to keep a safe room! We all want to maintain an environment friendly to all family members!! Sometimes you will notice that the room goes into quiet mode, that is Admin trying to identify a problem, please be patient, we will restore room activity as soon as we can.
THE BINDERBEAR'S 2 CENTS:
HELLO EVERYBODY OUT THERE IN SWISLAND. IT'S BEEN ANOTHER GREAT TWO WEEKS FOR ALL OF US, MINUS THE NOTABLE LACK OF MUSIC....... GOOD NEWS ON THAT FRONT THOUGH, I'VE BEEN WORKING WITH SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO, THROUGH PHONE AND EMAIL, AND WE SHOULD HAVE THE TUNES BACK IN THE NEAR FUTURE. I WANT TO THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU FOR HANGING WITH US THROUGH THIS, IT JUST SHOWS HOW STRONG OUR CYBER-FAMILY HAS BECOME. I WANT TO GIVE A GREAT BIG "THANK YOU" TO OUR ACTIVE ADMINS (BILL4080, BILBO, NETTE AND ROSE) FOR THE WONDERFUL JOB THEY DO HELPING ROB AND I KEEP THINGS UNDER CONTROL. OH, ONE MORE THING.......................... THE DUCK-BILLED PLATYPUS IS IN NO WAY RELATED TO THE CAT!!
Admin Spotlight:
HELLO EVERYONE, BILBO THE ALIEN HERE, JUST TO LET YOU ALL KNOW A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MYSELF: I AM A DISABLED VETERAN WHO SERVED IN THE COAST GUARD FROM 1972 TO 1975. MY HOBBIES ARE MODEL BUILDING, READING,AND SWISLIVE. I LOVE ALL ANIMALS (SOMETIMES MORE THAN SOME PEOPLE), AND I AM A RETIRED MUSICIAN WHO PLAYED FOLK ROCK, COUNTRY, AND BLUEGRASS. I AM 54 YEARS OLD AND HAVE MORE TIME THAN I KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH. EVER SINCE I ACCIDENTALLY CAME ACROSS SWISLIVE ON APRIL 10th, I HAVE BECOME SO ATTACHED THAT IT HAS BECOME MY SECOND HOME. I WAS HAPPILY OFFERED, AND ACCEPTED, THE ADMIN POSITION ON APRIL17th, AND I TRY TO FULFILL THIS DUTY WITH FULL RESPECT FOR ALL WHO ENTER THIS SIGHT. Swis:
The photos this week were all taken at home in Arkansas the first part of April, there are some great shots of me knee deep in some thick sticky mud, yep I was stuck! Spring is here, some nice shots of some blooms that I found on the trail while riding my ATV.
