UPSIDE DOWN PIZZA CASSEROLE

1 lb hamburger
1 lb Italian sausage ( if using sausages, remove casings and break
up in frying pan with hamburger, you can also just use bulk)
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
sliced pepperoni
olives (optional)
mushrooms ( optional)
1 jar pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
2 pkgs refrigerated crescent rolls

Brown beef, sausage, onion and bell pepper in skillet til done. Put in bowl and add pepperoni, olives, mushrooms and whatever other pizza toppings you desire. Pour in sauce, mix well. Spread into a 9x13" pan. Cover with cheese. Unroll crescent rolls and cover entire casserole with the rolls, tucking in the edges a little. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes or until top is golden brown.
